Job description

We are looking for a person who can work in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will be involved in a live parcel sortation operation, ensuring parcels are scanned and loaded in a safe and timely fashion.

Responsibilities

• Safely offload Cargo Containers of parcels onto moving conveyer belts.Safely load parcels into designated bays.
• To scan and check parcels as they pass through sortation.To drive and operate specialist equipment to assist with the loading and moving of cargo.
• Personnel must maintain high standards of safety and security at all times.Work both independently and/or as part of a team, as required, to achieve the highest levels of productivity and meet operational deadlines.
• Report any damaged goods to supervisor.Follow workplace health and safety rules when handling goods.
• Report any equipment malfunctions to Supervisors.Warehouse must be always kept clean and tidy, and daily clean up must take place after each morning operation.

Skills and Qualifications

• A full driving licence.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Ability to work under pressure and to strict timescales.
• Previous warehouse experience desirable however not essential.
• Good team player.
