***WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE***

Are you looking for a hands‑on role with long‑term potential? We're recruiting on behalf of our client – an established, expanding business with a genuine family feel – and are looking for an enthusiastic Warehouse Operative to join their growing team. This is a fantastic temp‑to‑perm opportunity offering real scope for development for the right person.

Salary & Hours

Salary: £27,000 - 40 hours a week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receiving goods: unload deliveries, check for damage or missing items, and sign delivery notes.
  • Storing stock: label items, move goods to designated storage areas, and ensure safe, organised storage.
  • Picking & packing: accurately select items for orders, pack securely, and prepare goods for dispatch – this may involve heavy lifting and extended periods of standing.
  • Dispatching orders: load goods onto delivery vehicles, ensuring items are secure and ready for timely delivery.
  • Stock control: update records, complete paperwork, and help with regular stock checks.
  • Maintaining cleanliness: keep work areas clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
Qualifications
  • Some previous warehouse experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude and clear communication skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
  • Physical capability to move goods safely.
  • Basic IT skills for stock and record‑keeping.
  • Full UK driving licence and own vehicle essential due to location – free on‑site parking.
  • 40‑hour week. Hours 8:30 am‑5 pm Mon‑Thurs, 8 am‑4:30 pm Fri.
