What will you do:

  • To pick, pack and despatch customer orders in accordance with the current work instructions both accurately and in a timely fashion. To contribute to any other outbound processes when required to do so. 100% serviceability is achieved on despatch. Product is selected accurately, safely, and efficiently, resulting in no customer concerns or negative feedback. Individual and team productivity efficiencies are evident.
  • To receive and putway stock in accordance with the current work instructions both accurately and in a timely fashion and to contribute to any other inbound processes when required to do so. 100% putaway, within 24 hrs of receipt is achieved. Product is located correctly and handled safely and efficiently. Individual and team productivity efficiencies are evident.
  • To undertake all tasks in a safe manner in accordance with current Health and Safety legislation and to report any non conformance in the appropriate manner. The warehouse operates in a safe manner and all health and safety legislation is adhered to. Any restrictions to conformance are reported and no major reportable accidents occur.
  • Contribute to the general housekeeping of the warehouse, leaving pickfaces tidy and clear of empty cardboard and other debris and leaving work areas tidy at shift end. To contribute to any other housekeeping activities when required to do so. The highest standards of housekeeping are maintained. A collective contribution is encouraged and made by all warehouse personnel.
  • To comply with all environmental procedures in operation, disposing and segregating of waste in the correct receptacles. Environmental legislation is adhered to.
  • To understand and comply with the importance of quality procedures and report any non-conformance to a supervisor immediately. High standards of quality are achieved and restrictions to conformance are reported.
  • To understand and recognise supplier/customer relationships and contribute to the continual improvement process. A culture of continuous improvement is adopted, and customer/supplier relationships are understood and effectively implemented.
  • To ensure familiarity, training, and authorisation for any equipment to be used is gained prior to its operation. All equipment is operated safely and in accordance with current operating instructions and company policy.
  • To undertake manual handling tasks in accordance with manual handling regulations as far as is reasonably practicable, to make proper use of any equipment provided and to inform a supervisor if any hazardous handling activities are identified.

Appropriate systems of work are followed, proper use of equipment provided is made and any identified hazardous handling activities are reported.
