Job summary

A well-established wholesale distribution business is looking for a Night Shift Warehouse Manager in Thatcham. You will lead operations from 10pm to 6am, ensuring safety compliance and driving performance targets. Salary: Up to £40,000

Summary:
An exciting opportunity to join a well‑established wholesale distribution business in a night shift 10pm - 6am, Sunday night to Friday morning, hands‑on leadership role.
Strong leadership experience within fast paced warehouse operations required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day warehouse operations, ensuring a strong safety culture and compliance with all health & safety standards.
• Manage, motivate, and develop a team to meet performance targets, KPIs, and service levels.
• Oversee stock control, vehicle loading, and warehouse housekeeping to maintain operational efficiency.
• Plan staffing levels, manage absences and holidays, and handle disciplinary and performance matters effectively.
• Drive process improvement initiatives, maintaining accurate records, SOPs, and resource utilisation.

Skills and Experience

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in warehouse or logistics management, with proven people leadership skills.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety practices and compliance.
• Experience managing budgets and operational performance metrics.
• Proficient in warehouse management and resource planning systems.
• Excellent communicator with strong problem‑solving, planning, and time management abilities.
