Overview

Location: St Neots

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 DOE

Working Monday - Friday days

Summary: We are looking for a hands-on Warehouse Manager to join, lead and manage a small team for a growing 3PL business. You will play a crucial role by managing your team, overseeing daily operations, maximising efficiency, and developing and maintaining processes and procedures. If you have proven experience as a Warehouse Team Leader or similar role, preferable within a 3PL or SME and ideally hold a forklift counterbalance license would be great but not essential. Applicants need to have a driving licence and their own vehicle as there is no public transport available near the site, and this is a full-time office-based job.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the Teams operations, including goods in, picking and packing.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, streamline processes, and reduce costs while maintaining service excellence.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and evaluate operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of operational staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to optimise productivity and foster a positive work environment.
• Maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards, ensuring all operations are conducted in a safe and secure manner.

Key Skills/Experience

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Leader within the logistics industry, ideally 3PL.
• Strong knowledge of operational processes, logistics, and supply chain management.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals.
• Analytical mind-set and problem-solving abilities to identify operational problems and implement effective solutions.
• Confidant and very comfortable with IT systems and reporting tools.
