Now Hiring: Warehouse Manager
Target Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Swindon
Contract Length: 3 months (with potential for extension or full-time hire)
Working Hours: 4 on 4 off shift pattern (07:00-19:00 x 2 days and 19:00-07:00 x 2 days)
Hourly Rate: £23.50/hour
Key Responsibilities
- To be responsible for the warehouse, warehouse operators and the warehouse stock management system.
- Responsibility for the safe and effective operation of warehouse activities.
- Responsibility for the operation and accuracy of the Warehouse Stock Management System.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with current Health and Safety legislation, COSHH, and current Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
- Monitor the performance and potential of the team and provide the direction and motivation necessary to secure optimum commitment, competence and performance.
- Be fully conversant on Warehouse Management Systems.
- Liaise with Production, Engineering, Quality Control and other departments to ensure work procedures are compiled with.
- Ensure that high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and housekeeping are maintained within all Warehouse areas both internally and externally.
- Establish and control the warehouse KPI's to ensure effective & efficient management of the warehouse operation.
- Manage the warehouse capacity through proactive control of material storage and also the timely destruction of expired product, rejects, active waste, and items with customer approval for destruction.
- Effectively manage materials held in specialist storage outside of the main building ensuring appropriate quality controls and procedures are in place.
- Preparation and regular review of Standard Operating Procedures relating to own areas of responsibility.
- Assist with departmental training and completion of training documentation, principally governed through the Compliance Wire system.
- Effectively manage document and process changes through the TrackWise QMS system and electronic documents management system, EDMS.
- Any other duties which may properly be assigned to this post.

Requirements
- Good all-round knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry.
- Prior Warehouse Management experience.
- Good working knowledge of Lean Thinking and implementation of lean projects
