Your new role
The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for overseeing GMP goods-in, stock control and all delivery/shipping operations predominantly at our Livingston site. You will lead and develop our Supply Chain and Logistics team, based between our sites in Livingston and Edinburgh BioQuarter, so occasional travel to Edinburgh will be required.
Your responsibilities
- Manage stock levels, ensuring adherence to FIFO principles and compliance with quarantine and QC release procedures.
- Lead the team to manage inventory across on-site and off-site storage, providing accurate and timely inventory reports to clients and the management team.
- Maintain all documentation related to Supply Chain and stock management.
- Plan and schedule warehouse operations to ensure stock availability for Commercial Manufacturing and timely shipping to clinical trial sites.
- Manage warehouse facilities to inspection-ready standards, ensuring all equipment is serviced and calibrated as required, including fleet vehicles.
- Work with Supplier Quality to ensure all suppliers are appropriately qualified and compliant.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and ensure they are effectively used, and processes are regularly reviewed for continuous improvement.
- Maintain effective communication between clients, RoslinCT departments and third-party service providers to ensure priority requirements and timely delivery of goods.
- Provide ongoing coaching and development to support team members’ career and personal development goals.
About you
- Prior experience in pharmaceutical or biologics GMP warehousing or Supply Chain management.
- Hands-on experience with temperature-controlled materials for both inbound and outbound shipments and associated documentation.
- Proven competency in resource planning, materials/inventory management and strategic planning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building effective relationships with stakeholders, third-party partners, and cross-functional teams.
- Collaborative approach with experience in supporting, mentoring, and developing team members.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, meeting both short- and long-term deadlines.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
- Proactive in setting and maintaining high standards, with the ability to consider the broader business impact of decisions and actions.
