Job description

We’re looking for a dynamic and organised logistics professional who can lead our warehouse operations.

Salary:£32,694 - £39,872 pa (Mulberry PayScale, Grade Elm)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Full time)
Contract: Permanent
Location: Retail Office/Warehouse based in Balham

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing the organisation, storage, and distribution of stock to Royal Trinity Hospice shops, ensuring efficient and timely delivery to meet business needs.
  • Scheduling and overseeing driver routes for shop deliveries, donation collections, and home collection bookings.
  • Arranging home collection bookings from members of the public.
  • Maintaining accurate stock-holding data and ensuring the warehouse and storage areas are organised, safe, and compliant.
  • Line managing and supporting a small team of drivers, ensuring they work safely, efficiently, and in line with Royal Trinity Hospice values.
  • Collaborating with operations, corporate donations, and retail teams to ensure stock distribution supports sales performance.
  • Managing vehicle leasing, maintenance, insurance, fuel/EV charging, and telematics systems to ensure efficiency, value and compliance.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to logistics processes to increase efficiency, sustainability, and value for money.
  • Occasionally driving Royal Trinity Hospice vehicles to meet operational needs
Skills and experience required
  • Solid understanding of logistics, warehousing, and transport operations
  • Awareness of vehicle and driver regulations.
  • Previous experience in a logistics, supply chain, or transport management role.
  • Experience leading small teams and managing fleet operations.
  • Strong IT skills, including Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with strong judgement and problem-solving skills.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
  • You will need to be physically fit to undertake the requirements of the role
