Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree education (preferably in Logistics Management).
  • Strong experience working in a Logistics environment.
  • Excellent experience working in a managerial position.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel.
  • Extensive experience with ERP (preferably SAP).
  • Excellent proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Forklift licence is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Planning optimal capacity in warehouse and transport.
  • Provides daily operational guidance to team leaders and operators.
  • Informs team about safety issues or developments.
  • Monitors the progress and quality of goods receipt.
  • Supporting production with stock corrections.
  • Organise and follow up on stock counts.
  • Organise the removal of various waste streams.
  • Ensure sufficient resources are available.
  • Ensure the maintenance of internal transport equipment.
  • Identifying bottlenecks in warehouse processes.
  • Implementing process optimisations.

Overview Of The Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator Position

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator to join our Operations team based at our Basildon site in Essex. This is a full time position working 39 hours per week on a permanent basis.

You will coordinate the operational management of the Logistics process for both incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring that the Production and Supply Chain departments have optimal (in time) access to goods for transport at minimal cost, while guaranteeing maximum safety.

Responsibilities Of Our Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator
  • Planning optimal capacity in warehouse and transport for the relevant Plant(s).
  • Provides daily operational guidance to team leaders and warehouse operators.
  • Informs team members about safety issues or developments.
  • Monitors the progress and quality of goods receipt, warehouse management, internal transport and outbound.
  • Supporting production and warehouse with stock corrections.
  • Organise and follow up on stock counts (wall-to-wall counts).
  • Organise the removal of various waste streams.
  • Ensure sufficient resources are available to allow the process to run according to plan and procedure.
  • Ensure the availability and maintenance of internal transport equipment and racking.
  • Ensure the availability of procedures, work instructions, etc.
  • Planning the desired qualitative and quantitative staffing levels.
  • Managing warehouse staff.
  • Identifying bottlenecks in warehouse processes and making suggestions for improvement.
  • Implementing process optimisations.
