Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Leighton Buzzard is seeking a Warehouse and Distribution Operative to control inventory and manage the flow of materials in and out of stores. You will pack, secure items and handle orders while following set processes.

The role requires experience in warehouse/distribution, good IT skills, accuracy, and teamwork. Forklift experience and MRPs experience are advantageous. Onsite, late shift with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse and distribution roles.
• Basic computer skills.
• Stock checks and cycle counting experience.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Team player with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Understanding of the use of MRP computer systems.
• Physical inventory accounting & reporting through Cycle Counting.
• Managing stock levels in line with procedures and maintaining stock accuracy in the MRP system.
• Issue of parts to works and sales orders using the defined procedure.
• Visual inspection, counting and checking of incoming materials and components.
• General administration and filing.
• Support continuous improvement and health and safety initiatives.
• Receive cartons and pallets into the dispatch area and record paperwork.
• Cross reference information against database to determine shipment method.
