A leading automotive parts distributor in the UK is seeking a Warehouse Controller to manage warehouse operations and lead a team of Warehouse Operatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouses, preferably in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include ensuring smooth operations in various departments and developing the team. Qualifications

  • Track record of managing a warehouse ideally in a fast-paced environment like FMCG.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the organisation and performance of the Goods In, Goods Out and Stock Control departments.
  • Pick and load van/carrier accurately for timely customer delivery.
  • Check stock quantities against computer systems.
  • Develop effective solutions to challenges.
  • Assist branch manager with plans and team development.

Job description

As a Warehouse Controller at GSF Car Parts, you are responsible for motivating and leading a team of Warehouse Operatives to ensure stock delivers sales budgets and operational functions run smoothly.

Main Duties Include
  • Manage the organisation and performance to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Goods In, Goods Out, Returns and Stock Control departments.
  • Pick and load van/carrier accurately for timely customer delivery when required.
  • Check stock quantities are correct against computer systems.
  • Use personal judgment and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles.
  • Ensure the operational functions of the Warehouse run smoothly and assist the branch manager with holidays/sickness cover, preparing weekly plans, developing the warehouse team and working with Drivers to ensure the best delivery service for customers.
  • Create a positive and supportive environment where employees are valued and can reach their true potential.
Working Hours

45 (average) hours Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturday working.

About You

As the Warehouse Controller, you will have a great track record of managing a warehouse, ideally gained within a fast‑paced environment such as FMCG.

  • Previous experience of using MAM is desirable but not essential.
