A leading automotive parts distributor in Bridgwater is looking for a Warehouse Controller. In this role, you will lead a team of Warehouse Operatives while ensuring efficient warehouse operations and stock management. Job description

As a Warehouse Controller as GSF Car Parts, you are responsible for motivating and leading a team of Warehouse Operatives. As the Warehouse Controller, you will ensure stock can deliver the sales budgets and the operational functions of the Warehouse run smoothly.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the organisation and performance to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Goods In, Goods Out, Returns and Stock Control departments
  • Pick and load van / carrier accurately for timely customer delivery when required
  • Check stock quantities are correct against computer
  • Use personal judgment and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles
  • Ensure the operational functions of the Warehouse run smoothly and assist the branch manager with holidays/sickness cover, preparing weekly plans, developing the warehouse team and work with Drivers to ensure the best delivery service for customers.
  • Create a positive and supportive environment where employees are valued and can reach their true potential
Working Hours

45 (average) hours Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturday working.

Qualifications
  • As the Warehouse Controller, you will have a great track record of managing a warehouse, ideally gained within a fast-paced environment such as FMCG.
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good planning and organisational skillsAbility to work calm under pressure
  • Customer and Sales focused
  • Previous experience of use of MAM is desirable but not essential
