Job summary

JDR Recruitment are recruiting for Warehouse Cleaners to work at a large distribution centre based in Bedford, MK42. The role involves cleaning floors, removing waste and maintaining welfare facilities while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Shifts include Saturdays and Sundays 6am-6pm, Saturdays 7 Sunday 6pm-6am, and Monday to Friday 7am-3pm. Pay rates are Days £12.71 per hour and Nights £13.71 per hour, with ongoing work offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse cleaning or similar environments.
• Ability to follow health and safety instructions.
• Comfortable with physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Clean warehouse floors using sweepers, scrubber-dryers and other cleaning equipment.
• Remove waste, cardboard, plastic and other recyclables from designated areas.
• Empty bins and ensure waste is disposed of correctly.
• Clean welfare facilities including canteens, kitchens, toilets, changing rooms and offices.
• Maintain cleanliness of loading bays, walkways, and warehouse racking areas.
• Replenish consumables such as soap, paper towels and toilet rolls.
• Report maintenance issues, spillages, hazards or damaged equipment to management.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and according to COSHH regulations.
• Support deep cleaning activities and special cleaning projects when required.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is maintained and stored correctly.
• Work alongside warehouse teams to minimise disruption to operations.

Working Conditions

• Use of PPE including safety shoes, high-visibility clothing, gloves, and eye protection where required.

We have the following shifts available:

Saturday & Sunday 6am-6pm

Saturday 7 Sunday 6pm-6am

Monday - Friday 7am-3pm

The Pay Rates are as follows:

Days: £12.71 per hour

Nights: £13.71 per hour
