Job summary

First Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our client’s busy distribution site. The role focuses on the safe receipt, storage and dispatch of goods, with an emphasis on accuracy, teamwork and meeting deadlines.

You will move stock in a fast paced environment, pick and pack orders, enter stock data into the WMS, and carry out daily stock counts in line with procedures. Overtime is paid at 1.25x hourly rate and heavy lifting may be required.

• Numerate and literate.

Responsibilities

• Take delivery of goods and supplies.
• Check for damaged or missing items.
• Store goods appropriately.
• Pick and pack orders for dispatch.
• Move stock by hand, lifting equipment or forklift.
• Load goods for dispatch and ensure timely delivery to production lines.
• Input stock data into a computerised system.
• Keep accurate stock records and perform daily stock counts.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and comply with safety procedures.
• Carry out duties in line with health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Make recommendations to improve efficiency.
