Job summary

Hrgo-Recruitment is seeking a reliable Warehouse Assistant to support the Warehouse Co-ordinator in the day-to-day running of the manufacturing facility in Dumfries.

The role focuses on keeping the warehouse, material room and stores clean, organised and safe, handling stock, logging waste, and assisting with general duties across shifts (4 on/4 off).

The position is temporary ongoing with hourly pay of £13.47 and requires physical work including walking and manual handling.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cleaning and upkeep of the Material Room to keep a safe, organised area.
• Log, track and help minimise material waste in line with procedures.
• Bale plastic bags and ensure recycling processes are followed correctly.
• Move, handle and store stock safely within the warehouse using manual handling equipment as required.
• Support general warehouse operations and keep stock areas tidy and well-organised.
• Assist in organising and maintaining Engineering Stores as needed.
• Work with the Warehouse Co-ordinator to complete daily tasks and respond to operational needs.

Hours:4 on/4 off shift pattern - 2 days then 2 nights, then 4 off

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Assistant to support our Warehouse Co-ordinator in the day-to-day running of our client's busy manufacturing facility.

This role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and efficiency within the warehouse, material room, and associated storage areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the cleaning and upkeep of the Material Room to ensure a safe and organised working environment.
• Log, track, and help minimise material waste in line with company procedures.
• Bale plastic bags and ensure recycling processes are followed correctly.
• Move, handle, and store stock safely within the warehouse, including the use of manual handling equipment where required.
• Support general warehouse operations, ensuring stock areas remain tidy and well-organised.
• Assist in organising and maintaining the Engineering Stores as needed.
• Work closely with the Warehouse Co-ordinator to complete daily tasks and respond to operational needs.
