Warehouse Manager - Fulfilment Contract

Hours: 45 hours per week (occasional weekend or late coverage may be required)

PPS Logistics is seeking a driven, experienced Warehouse Manager to take full ownership of our specialist fulfilment contract. This is a high‑profile, customer‑first operation where service reliability, accuracy, and process integrity are paramount.

About the Role

You will manage the day‑to‑day warehouse operations at our Cumbernauld site, ensuring compliance with service levels agreed under the contract. This includes overseeing the receipt, storage, reworking, and despatch of 1,800‑2,000 pallets of bespoke printed polythene packaging to strict Imperial specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all site‑based operations related to the Imperial contract.
• Ensure compliance with tight despatch specifications (pallet prep, wrapping, labelling, photography, load securing).
• Manage team performance across receiving, picking, packing, and shipping. (where applicable)
• Ensure 100% pallet checks and documentation accuracy before despatch.
• Deliver exceptional service with a focus on "right first time" delivery to NHS Scotland.
• Manage KPI reporting and exception resolution via Palletways systems.
• Drive compliance with RHA Conditions of Carriage, UK pallet specs, and PPS policies.
• Own relationships with internal transport, account management, and the customer.
• Champion safe systems of work and warehouse standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in managing fast‑paced warehouse and fulfilment operations (minimum 3 years).
• Strong leadership and staff management skills.
• Experience in contract‑based service delivery (NHS or FMCG experience advantageous).
• Confident in WMS systems, KPI tracking, and exception analysis.
• Understanding of pallet configuration, rework, and load security.
• Excellent attention to detail and process control.
• Able to work flexibly and respond rapidly to service‑critical requirements.
