Job summary

Babcock International in Ashchurch, near Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, is recruiting a Warehouse and Logistics Operative to support the receipt, storage and distribution of goods across the site.

This full‑time, on‑site role is 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and requires a Security Check (SC) clearance. You’ll gain experience across warehousing and logistics while contributing to national security through efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience.
• Good IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working within a fast-paced operational environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team., Basic warehouse and logistics experience.
• Forklift licence or experience operating manual handling equipment would be advantageous.
• A willingness to undertake further training where required.

Job description

As a Warehouse and Logistics Operative, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be responsible for supporting warehouse operations through the receipt, storage, control, and distribution of goods, helping to ensure materials are available when and where they are needed. Working within a structured and collaborative environment, you'll gain valuable experience across a variety of warehousing and logistics activities while contributing to the success of a nationally important business. Day-to-day, you will be:

• Carrying out stock checks and inventory counting activities.
• Supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the warehouse and wider supply chain.

This role is full time, based on site at Ashchurch, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
