Warehouse and Lab Technician | Elland, West Yorkshire

Contract: Six-month fixed-term contract


Hours: Full-time


Are you organised, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and confident using IT systems to process orders and paperwork?


We are looking for a Warehouse and Lab Technician on behalf of a specialist chemical business based in Elland.


Working as part of a small team, you will help to prepare and dispatch chemical samples accurately, ensuring each client's individual requirements are followed.


This is a varied, hands‑on role that combines warehouse duties, sample preparation, administration and customer service.


The Role

Your responsibilities will include:



  • Repacking and decanting chemical samples.

  • Locating products within the warehouse and selecting the correct items for each order.

  • Processing sample requests using the company's IT system.

  • Generating delivery paperwork.

  • Creating, amending and printing product labels.

  • Following client instructions and individual sampling requirements.

  • Reviewing and complying with COSHH and health and safety guidelines.

  • Returning unused samples and stock to the correct warehouse locations.

  • Liaising with Client Administrators and the Stock Controller.

  • Communicating with couriers and hauliers when required.

  • Responding to client and internal enquiries.


About You

To be considered for this Warehouse and Lab Technician position, you will need:



  • A good standard of English and maths.

  • Strong organisational and planning skills.

  • Confidence using computers and IT systems.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • The ability to work accurately in a busy and pressurised environment.

  • The physical capability to undertake manual handling duties.

  • Experience in a similar warehouse or laboratory-based position would be beneficial, as would knowledge of the chemical industry, although this is not essential.
