Job description
Job Overview

As the Ward Manager on Cheerful Sparrows Female, you will be passionate about delivering outstanding and safe patient care, as well as continuing a positive working culture, benefitting staff and patients.

Responsibilities
  • To act as a role model and provide professional leadership to nursing staff.
  • Setting, achieving and monitoring Quality Standards.
  • To support the matron to implement the agreed system of nursing audits.
  • Maintain personal contact with patients, relatives and carers being sensitive to their needs for courtesy, dignity and privacy.
  • Participate in the provision of preceptorship and mentorship for new staff, and for staff undertaking academic courses and pathways.
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of all medical devices used within the Ward.
  • Ensure the delivery of clinical governance and ensuring that the aims of clinical effectiveness are met from a nursing viewpoint.
