Job summary

Practice Plus Group is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join the ward team at Barlborough Hospital. You will support the professional staff with inpatients on the ward, including welcoming patients, handling calls, and assisting with stores and stock monitoring.

The role offers development opportunities within a multidisciplinary team, with rotating shifts. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care or be willing to train further.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care and be willing to undertake training to gain further clinical skills.
• Experience or a good understanding of a HCA duties and responsibilities.
• The ability to receive and communicate information accurately and take instruction from professional colleagues.
• The flexibility to fit into internal rotating shift pattern.
• Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming/greeting patients to the ward area.
• Answering the telephone, recording and delivering messages accurately and to the appropriate person.
• Assisting in the ordering and monitoring of stores and stock rotation.
• Running errands to other departments.
• Support other members of the multi-disciplinary team.
