Job description

This is an excellent opportunity to join the Trauma and Orthopaedics team at Frimley Park Hospital as a Ward Clerk/Receptionist for Wards F4, F5 and F6. You will play a key role in supporting the administrative functions of these busy wards, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the departments.

Responsibilities
  • General clerical and administrative duties
  • Managing and dealing with all telephone enquiries, new patients and visitors
  • Point of contact for all visitors to the unit
  • Maintain patient details on relevant electronic systems, updating with necessary requirements such as porting requests
  • Manage and update the admission and discharge information system contemporaneously
  • Liaise with ward staff to resolve any problems
  • Liaise with other departments such as Waiting list department, consultant secretaries, pharmacy, emergency department, transport, discharge lounge, site managers, porters etc
  • Provide administrative support to the nursing and medical staff as required
  • Make appointments as necessary
  • Ensure general tidiness of Wards F4/F5/F6 Reception areas
  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Assist with audits as required, including data collection
  • Report of any estates issues via Planet FM and follow up these requests

This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) requires a proactive, organised and professional individual who can provide high-quality reception support and carry out a range of clerical duties in a fast‑paced environment.
