A leading healthcare provider in Greater London is seeking a Band 3 Ward Clerk to support nursing staff and perform essential clerical duties. The successful candidate will engage directly with patients and visitors, manage documentation, and coordinate communication between departments. An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Clinical Haematology Directorate for a Band 3 Ward Clerk.
The ward clerk is an essential part of the ward team, who works within the ward to provide essential clerical duties, to assist the nursing staff with the organisation of the ward as well as answering patient and visitor queries.
The post holder will have direct contact with patients/visitors in their capacity as Ward Clerk within Dacie Ward. Duties will include receiving and directing patients, visitors and staff visiting the ward, liaising with the wider Trust teams to support patient care.
To undertake clerical duties relating to documentation for patients including admission paperwork, clinical notes, discharge notification, patient records etc.
