A regional healthcare provider in Rotherham is seeking a part-time Receptionist/ward clerk to join their surgical same day emergency care team. This role involves greeting patients, assisting with enquiries, and maintaining patient records. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication and IT skills and a caring nature. Experience in a hospital environment is advantageous, as team work is essential in providing a positive patient experience.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Receptionist/ward clerk 15 hours to join the team on the SURGSDEC (surgical same day emergency care and acute surgical unit). 60 hours will be worked over a four week period .We are seeking to appoint a motivated and dynamic ward clerk to support the multidisciplinary team. The applicant will be expected to be able to work as part of a team, manage their own time and prioritise workload effectively.The role requires good communication and interpersonal skills with good IT skills.
This ward clerk role provides the first point of contact to patients attending the unit from G.P and from UECC (Urgent and emergency care centre). You will provide administration support for the activity within the busy assessment area and support the medical and nursing staff in ensuring that patients attending have a positive experience.
