Job summary

Advance is hiring a Waking Nights Support Worker in Camborne. 27 contracted hours per week, permanent position. Salary £20,975.93 per annum, plus benefits. You will support customers with learning disabilities/autism/mental health to live the lives they choose.

You don't need prior care experience; we value your values and commitment. You’ll work weekends and three nights per week, maintaining care plans and records, and supporting with personal care and safety.

Qualifications

  • No prior care experience required; values and commitment matter.
  • Able to work independently and in a team, with good communication and record-keeping.
  • Willingness to learn and achieve the Care Certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with personal care and hygiene as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, secure premises during night shifts.
  • Support with meals and food preparation as required.
  • Assist with medication administration if required.
  • Record updates and care plans accurately.
  • Conduct regular checks on customers to ensure safety.
  • Attend to domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry.

Advance are looking for Waking Night Support Workers in Camborne TR14 to support customers with learning disabilities/ autism/ complex needs/ mental health conditions to live the lives they choose. Waking Night Activities
  • Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required)
  • Ensuring the premises are secure and safe during the night
  • Supporting with meal times and food preparation (if required)
  • Medication administration (if required)
  • Support with independent skills
  • Keeping accurate records and updating care plans as required
  • Keeping up to date with your training
  • Supporting with regular checks on the customer to ensure their safety
  • Supporting with domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry

About the candidate

You don’t need to have previous experience working in care or support to be successful in this role. What matters are your values, your passion and determination to make a difference in the lives of people with autism or learning disabilities.

  • Good at working on your own and within a team
  • Excellent at communicating with people
  • Able to complete quality support records
  • Able to work every other weekends
  • Able to work 3 nights per week Mon-Sun
  • Ability to follow a Support Plan and Risk Assessments and maintain customer records
  • Need to be literate and numerate in English
  • Willingness and ability to achieve the Care Certificate
