Waking Nights Care Worker – (Shrewsbury, Oswestry, Market Drayton)

About the role

You will provide night care to service users living independently in their own homes. The job includes assisting with personal care, hygiene, turning and medication, supporting people after leaving hospital, and working with a colleague at all times. You will use a fully insured company vehicle, and two carers are assigned per vehicle.

Key features
  • Use of a fully fuel‑filled and maintained company vehicle whilst on shift (two carers per car)
  • Block pay for minimum hours per shift (hourly rate, bank holiday rate)
  • Shifts 22:00–06:30 Monday to Friday and alternate weekends; full‑time and part‑time available
  • No experience needed – full training given
Responsibilities
  • Provide night care to service users living independently in their own homes.
  • Assist with personal care and hygiene, turning and medication.
  • Support people with planned and responsive care after leaving hospital.
  • Work with a colleague at all times – two carers per company vehicle.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for service users.
Requirements
  • Driver with own transport (car, motorcycle, moped, etc.). The role is not suitable for non‑drivers.
  • Willingness to use a company vehicle that is fully insured and funded by the company.
  • Available to work 22:00–06:30 shifts, Monday to Friday and alternate weekends.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate empathy, kindness, compassion, respect and professionalism.
  • Right to live and work in the UK; evidence of immigration status will be requested.
Advantageous but not essential
  • Experience in providing care, either professionally or to a family member or friend.
