Qualifications

What will I be doing as a Waking Night - Support Worker?
  • Developing positive relationships with the young people in our care, their families and external agencies
  • Contributing to the young person’s care plans and any risk assessments, supporting with implementation and reviews
  • Supporting young people with daily activities, educational needs and emotional wellbeing
  • Ensuring that good quality records are maintained as required
  • Previous experience is not a requirement for this role as we provide 3 weeks classroom training followed by 1 week of shadow shifts to ensure that you feel confident and well equipped to start your new role !
What we are looking for?
  • We welcome applications from people who have previous experience in a children’s residential setting or similar role
  • People who have the ability to interact with young people and manage challenging behaviours calmly
  • The ability to work independently, manage risk and use their initiative
  • A full UK driving licence
  • You must also be over 21 years of age to meet industry regulations
  • Level 3 / 4 Diploma in Children’s & Young Peoples workforce would be great – although this is not essential
  • Flexibility to work shifts including weekends - our shifts are 22:30pm – 8:00am with 4 nights on 4 nights off rotation.
