A regional support trust in Kent is seeking a Waking Night Support Worker to ensure the safety and independence of individuals with autism throughout the night. Responsibilities include conducting safety checks, assisting with personal care, and maintaining service cleanliness. The ideal candidate is compassionate, has an understanding of autism, and is willing to learn in a supportive environment. Training and benefits are offered.
SALARY/HOURLY RATE: £20,638.80 pa / £12.60 p.h. (Pro Rata for part time)

Wake Night Support workers help the people we support to feel safe and secure throughout the night. Delivering exceptional care and individualized support ensures that our residents live as independently and safely as possible. In addition, the responsibilities of the role are to assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the service and carry out necessary utility checks. This is a personally rewarding role where you can build on your skills and experience. Having a background in supporting people with Autism in a previous role within a social care environment is desirable, although it is not essential.
What is essential is that you understand that autism can be complex and challenging and that each person we support is unique.
Homersham is a Supported Living service, a short walk away from the vibrant hustle and bustle of Canterbury. It has 7 tenants. There are 4 self‑contained flats and 3 ensuite bedrooms with a shared communal area.
Our tenants participate in a wide range of activities in the community, such as bowling, trying new restaurants, staycations and even holidays abroad. When at the service our tenants enjoy movie and karaoke nights, celebrating special events from around the world. Anything from the festival of lights to pancake day, you name it, we celebrate it! They also have a lovely outdoor space where they enjoy socialising and a good barbeque in the summer months.
The specialist staff team in situ are looking forward to welcoming a new colleague and has suggested we let you know they love to socialise and enjoy a good coffee. They are all friendly and eager to welcome you to the team!
