A leading care organization is seeking a Waking Night Support Worker in the City of London. The role involves providing overnight assistance to individuals with learning disabilities, focusing on their comfort and safety. Experience in care is welcomed but not essential; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are key. Join a team that values inclusion and respect for all. Competitive training is provided.
You'll join us as a Waking Night Support Worker in Streatham, which is home to twelve people aged between 45 - 65, with learning disabilities. They are all very active during the day and may want to talk to you about their activities and what they have been up to before they go to bed.
You will then check at regular intervals to ensure they are comfortable and getting a good night's sleep ready for the next day. This is an important role to make sure people feel safe so at times it can be more about providing emotional reassurance. Some people may need support with medication and / or personal care throughout the night.
There may also be light cleaning and domestic duties to complete, in order to ensure the home is tidy ready for the next morning.
Of course we welcome you if you've been a care assistant or support worker, but experience isn't essential. If you have the right attitude, good customer service skills, share our values and are willing to learn, you're likely to be a great fit. We are looking for people who celebrate differences, and we strive to make all our staff feel included, valued and respected.
We have an amazing training and induction...
