Job summary

Prestige Nursing & Care in Crewkerne, Somerset is seeking a compassionate Complex Care Assistant for night shifts (10.00pm – 08.00am) to support a young man at home. The role focuses on waking night care, personal care, safeguarding wellbeing and building trust with the family. Training and ongoing support are provided.

You will work with a dedicated Taunton team, receive weekly pay and access extensive training, DBS checks, and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• A minimum of six months’ paid care experience
• A caring, compassionate and reliable nature
• Excellent communication skills
• A commitment to delivering outstanding person-centred care
• Good professional and personal references
• A driving licence is advantageous but not essential

Responsibilities

• Providing waking night support and observation
• Supporting with bedtime and morning routines
• Assisting with personal care
• Monitoring and responding appropriately to seizures
• Supporting the safe use of a BiPAP machine
• Promoting dignity, comfort and wellbeing at all times
• Building a positive and trusting relationship with the client and family
