A local government authority in Wakefield is seeking a Partnership Manager to provide strategic leadership across their safeguarding partnership. This role involves managing a multi-disciplinary team and ensuring compliance with safeguarding legislation. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in safeguarding practices and experience in a partnership context. Responsibilities include overseeing delivery plans, managing reviews, and developing relationships with senior stakeholders to promote effective safeguarding for children and vulnerable adults.
Wakefield Safeguarding Children Partnership (WSCP) Business Unit is looking for an outstanding individual to provide strategic leadership across the Partnership to enable the statutory leads – Wakefield Council, West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board and West Yorkshire Police, alongside it’s partners to continue to strive for excellence for children and families through effective multi-agency safeguarding arrangements which promotes their welfare.
As the Partnership Manager you will provide strategic and operational management to a multi-disciplinary Business Unit team to enable the Partnership to fulfil its statutory requirements set out in Working Together to Safeguard Children, these responsibilities include but are not exclusive to :
You will need to have an extensive knowledge and understanding in the field of safeguarding children including the current legislation and guidance, together with a high level of experience in operating within a partnership context and ability to operate alongside senior leads within organisations providing high support and high challenge. In addition, it would be beneficial if you have previous operational experience working directly with children, young people and their families.
