KYN BICKLEY is seeking a BANK Waiter/Waitress to join the team at Bickley Park. You will provide room, restaurant, and bar service to residents and their guests, supporting a warm atmosphere and exceptional catering experiences within a care-home setting.

Role requires hospitality experience, strong communication, and a commitment to safety and dietary accommodation. Training and a supportive team environment are offered along with meals and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Provide room, restaurant, and bar service to residents and guests.
• Assist in creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for meals and events.
• Ensure dietary requirements are catered for and health and safety rules are followed.
• Serve alcohol responsibly in line with licensing terms.
• Support the Hospitality Manager and Head Chef as needed.

About KYN

KYN is a brand-new care home company focused on offering an elevated approach to care: Individualised journeys built around the needs and interests of our residents in beautiful surroundings with life-enriching practices.

Our first home, KYN BICKLEY, opened in February 2023. KYN BICKLEY is an 86-bedroom home offering each resident an elegant and comfortable bedroom, communal areas for dining and reclining; and inviting outdoor terraces overlooking landscaped gardens bordered by woodland. We have a further three care homes in development in London.

About the opportunity

As a BANK Waiter/Waitress, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting the Hospitality Manager and Head Chef in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere and consistently delivering an exceptional catering experience for our residents and their families
• Providing room service, restaurant, and bar service to our residents and guests in line with KYN’s exceptional standards including preparing meal trays, delivering refreshments, and removing trays following meals
• Ensuring high standards of cleanliness and best practices are always maintained and that health and safety, compliance and procedures are adhered to
• Ensuring that residents’ and relatives’ dietary requirements are catered for
• Reporting any complaints to the Head Chef/Hospitality Manager at the earliest convenience
• Ensuring that all rules and regulations concerning serving food and beverages are strictly complied with
• Creating a nurturing environment where our residents and their family members feel loved, happy, safe, and secure
• Ensuring that all alcohol is served responsibly and to adhere to the terms of the premises licence

About you

• You will have experience of working within a similar hospitality venue
• You will be a professional, who understands the importance of delivering and maintaining high standards – keeping a safe, clean, and compliant environment
• You will have strong communication skills, a corporative and polite manner, and an eye for detail
• You will have the ability to work under pressure, flexibly and consistently
• You will be trustworthy, caring, adaptable, friendly, and patient and continuingly striving for excellence
• You must be over the age of 18 as you will be required to serve drinks in the Great Room
