KYN is recruiting a Waiter/Waitress for a permanent contract at its London site. The role involves room service, restaurant and bar service, and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety for residents and guests.

Ideal candidates will have hospitality experience, strong communication, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining a welcoming, professional demeanor. Age 18+ due to alcohol service requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the Hospitality Manager and Head Chef in creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
• Provide room service, restaurant and bar service to residents and guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with health and safety procedures.
• cater to residents' dietary requirements and report complaints promptly.
• Ensure responsible service of alcohol and adherence to licensing terms.
• Create a nurturing environment where residents and families feel safe and cared for.
• Assist with trays, beverages, and removing dishes after meals.

KYN HURLINGHAM is our second home which opened in 2024. It’s a 32‑bedroom home offering each resident an elegant and comfortable bedroom, communal areas for dining and reclining. We have a further two care homes in development in London.

About the opportunity

As a Waiter/Waitress, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting the Hospitality Manager and Head Chef in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere and consistently delivering an exceptional catering experience for our residents and their families
• Providing room service, restaurant, and bar service to our residents and guests in line with KYN’s exceptional standards including preparing meal trays, delivering refreshments, and removing trays following meals
• Ensuring high standards of cleanliness and best practices are always maintained and that health and safety, compliance and procedures are adhered to
• Ensuring that residents’ and relatives’ dietary requirements are catered for
• Reporting any complaints to the Head Chef/Hospitality Manager at the earliest convenience
• Ensuring that all rules and regulations concerning serving food and beverages are strictly complied with
• Creating a nurturing environment where our residents and their family members feel loved, happy, safe, and secure
• Ensuring that all alcohol is served responsibly and to adhere to the terms of the premises licence

About you

• You will have experience of working within a similar hospitality venue
• You will be a professional, who understands the importance of delivering and maintaining high standards – keeping a safe, clean, and compliant environment
• You will have strong communication skills, a corporative and polite manner, and an eye for detail
• You will have the ability to work under pressure, flexibly and consistently
• You will be trustworthy, caring, adaptable, friendly, and patient and constantly striving for excellence
• You must be over the age of 18 as you will be required to serve drinks in the restaurant
