Job summary

Soho House in Frome seeks a waiter to deliver refined, attentive service to our members and guests. You will work with floor and kitchen teams to ensure a smooth dining experience while upholding the Club's standards of professionalism and discretion.

You will greet guests, take orders, accommodate dietary needs, recommend menu items, coordinate with staff, and assist with payments. The role requires hospitality, teamwork, and the ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years in a similar high-end dining environment.
• Must be hospitable, approachable and service-focused.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet members, introduce menus and engage guests upon seating.
• Take accurate food and drink orders, accommodate allergies or dietary needs.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar to ensure timely, correct deliveries.
• Provide menu recommendations, including food and beverage pairings.
• Maintain table service, top up water, wine, and beverages proactively.
• Keep a pristine environment by setting up and resetting tables.
• Handle member requests with discretion and professionalism.
• Process payments via card, Soho House App, or House Pay.

At Soho House, a Waiter plays an essential role in delivering refined, attentive, and personalised service to our members and guests. Working closely with the floor and kitchen teams, you are responsible for ensuring a smooth dining experience while reflecting the Club's standards of professionalism, discretion, and excellence.,

• Warmly greet members, introduce menus, and ensure immediate engagement upon seating.
• Take accurate food and drink orders, accommodating any allergies or dietary needs.
• Deliver a seamless service by coordinating with kitchen and bar staff, ensuring timely and correct order delivery.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including food and drink pairings.
• Maintain exceptional table service-top up water, wine, and beverages proactively throughout the member's stay.
• Ensure a pristine environment, including setting up and resetting tables, and maintaining cleanliness at all times.
• Handle member requests and special accommodations with flexibility to create memorable, personalized experiences.
• Support seamless payment through card, the Soho House App, or House Pay.
• Uphold discretion and professionalism, especially when serving VIPs and PWKs.
• Contribute to team success, attending briefings, tastings, and assisting colleagues where needed.

• Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintain calm, through quickly and effectively problem solving under pressure
• Must be hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests
• Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School
• Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Ability to take direction, work in a team environment and autonomously
