Job summary

La Nouvelle Garde in London is seeking a friendly and experienced Waiter/Waitress to look after guests from arrival to departure, ensuring they leave satisfied. You will take orders, serve dishes and drinks, and confidently recommend items from the menu.

You will follow the service steps, manage your section, and work closely with the runners and bar team to keep service smooth during busy periods. Prior restaurant experience is required.

Qualifications

• Proven waiter/waitress experience in a busy restaurant.
• Smiling, optimistic attitude and a genuine enjoyment of helping guests.
• Clear communication and teamwork.
• Able to stay active on your feet for long shifts.
• Understanding of great customer service and handling guest requests professionally.

They called it La Nouvelle Garde: a promise to eat and drink the French way, done properly, 100% homemade, cooked from scratch from the highest quality seasonal ingredients. They served classic French dishes prepared with care, generosity and excellence in beautiful, relaxed spaces full of energy. Guests loved it! So they opened another one, and then another one. Each with its own name, personality and story, but always with the same love for French food and hospitality. And 10 brasseries later, it was finally time to bring it to London. In July 2026 in Sloane Square, Brasserie Olivia was born. This is just the beginning of our London story, and we'd love you to help write the next chapter.

The role

As a Waiter / Waitress, you’ll look after our guests throughout their experience, making sure they leave happy.

You’ll take orders, serve food and drinks and confidently recommend dishes, wines and drinks from our menu.

You’ll follow our steps of service, manage your section and make sure every guest feels welcome, looked after and never forgotten.

You’ll work closely with the runners and bar team to keep service running smoothly, especially when the restaurant gets busy.

What You’ll Bring

• You have previous Waiter / Waitress experience in a busy restaurant.
• You’re smiley, optimistic, and genuinely enjoy looking after people.
• You communicate clearly and work well as part of a team.
• You’re comfortable being on your feet and active throughout your shift.
• You understand what great customer service looks like and know how to handle guest requests and concerns professionally.
• You have some food and wine knowledge and are curious and keen to learn more.
• You’re flexible, reliable and happy to get involved wherever the team need

• Average hourly pay: £16/hour (includingTronc).
