A leading technology provider in Chelmsford is seeking a Wafer Processing Operator to process silicon wafers for imaging sensors. The role involves maintaining high-quality standards and working in cleanroom conditions. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated with strong communication skills and a commitment to safety. This is a full-time position with alternating double day shifts.

We are looking for an operator to join our wafer manufacturing team processing silicon wafers to create imaging sensors for science and space applications. The role of Wafer Processing Operator is to ensure the timely throughput of Imaging devices through Wafer Processing whilst meeting all Quality requirements.
These processes take place in cleanrooms, so there is a requirement to work within this environment for long periods wearing a full clean room suit. You will not be able to wear make‑up and are required to not have smoked / vaped 4 hours before entering the cleanroom.
Strong personal accountability with a team working ethic and drive for timely completion of tasks.
Interface well with others with effective communication skills.
Work alternating double day shifts (6:00–14:00 Monday‑Thursday, 6:00–13:30 Friday, 13:30–21:30 Monday‑Thursday, 13:30–21:00 Friday) though day shifts can be considered (7:30–15:30 Monday‑Thursday, 7:30–14:45 Friday).
