A private care agency in London is looking for a professional SEN Nanny to support two children, aged 8 and 4, with emotional and developmental needs. Candidates should have experience with autistic spectrum conditions and must be nurturing and calm. The role involves after-school pickups, evening routines, and play activities, offering long-term placement and a rewarding experience.
SEN Nanny in London W2. A fantastic part-time opportunity for a professional SEN Nanny to support a girl, 8, who has a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and her younger brother (4).
Wage: £21.00 gross per hour, £27,300.00+ gross per annum.
Nearest Tube/Station: Paddington, Royal Oak, Lancaster Gate, Queensway, or Bayswater.
Isabelle (8) and Alex (4) live with mum and dad in West London. Isabelle is an articulate, intelligent, sociable autistic girl who enjoys arts and crafts, imaginative play, and has interests including Harry Potter. She attends dance class and chess club. Isabelle benefits from routines and can experience fatigue, anxiety, sensory and emotional dysregulation. Alex is a lively four-year-old who enjoys board games, swimming, football, and time at the park; he shows traits of ADHD and can experience sensory and emotional regulation challenges.
This is a collaborative role, with Mum present at home. The SEN Nanny will work in close partnership with Mum to manage after-school pickups and the evening routine. The Nanny will help Isabelle regulate emotions after school and support both children during the evening schedule, including homework supervision and preparing the evening meal, as well as assisting with bath and bedtime. When Isabelle goes to bed earlier, the Nanny will care for one child while Mum attends to the other. During school holidays, there is more time for activities inside and outside the home. The family is looking for consistency and long-term placement.
The family travels to Cyprus every year and would be delighted to have the Nanny join them. Additional hours are available during school holidays.
This role would suit a female candidate with strong experience supporting children who have challenges with emotional regulation and those on the autistic spectrum. We are looking for someone calm, nurturing, and enthusiastic about engaging in play and activities with the children throughout school holidays.
Supporting Isabelle and Alex is a rewarding opportunity, contributing to their ongoing learning and development. The role also offers long-term security.
