Job summary

Interrupt Labs is offering a unique opportunity to launch a career in offensive security. The program provides instructor-led in-person and self-led remote training to develop skills in reverse engineering and vulnerability research.

You will work with Interrupt Labs' researchers on real projects, gaining guidance and exposure to malware analysis, fuzzing, and vulnerability identification. The eight-week program runs from 5 July to 27 August 2027.

Qualifications

• Passionate about vulnerability research with a basic understanding.
• Interested in understanding low-level programming of hardware and software.
• Eligible for SC level UK Security Clearance (National security vetting).
• Going into penultimate or final year of university (typically 2nd or 3rd year undergrad or final year of a postgraduate degree).

Responsibilities

• Examples of projects may include: reverse engineering complex malware samples, creating bespoke fuzzing implementations, finding vulnerabilities in open-source software
• Programme runs between 5th July and 27th August 2027 (8 weeks)

The ideal candidate

• Passionate about vulnerability research with a basic understanding of this area
• Interested in understanding the low-level programming of hardware and software
• Experience reverse engineering against Android, iOS, Embedded or Hypervisor targets is desirable
• Going into penultimate or final year of university (typically seen as the 2ndor 3rd year of undergraduate studies, or the final year of a postgraduate degree)
• Eligible to hold SC level UK Security Clearance (National security vetting: clearance levels - GOV.UK)
