Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Vulnerability Management Analyst (AI Training) to apply hands-on security experience to train and evaluate AI systems, focusing on real-world risk discovery, prioritization, and remediation.

The role is remote, hourly, with 10–40 hours/week, offering autonomous, contract-based work and opportunities to influence AI cybersecurity assessments.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in vulnerability management, security operations, or infrastructure security.
  • Strong understanding of CVEs, vulnerability scanners, patching workflows, and risk prioritization frameworks (CVSS, EPSS, etc.)
  • You know the difference between a critical CVE on paper and one that's actually exploitable in your environment.
  • Clear, structured, and analytical communicator — you can explain your reasoning in writing.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on task-based assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze vulnerability reports, CVEs, and real-world exposure scenarios across infrastructure and applications.
  • Classify severity, exploitability, and business impact using frameworks you already know.
  • Review and evaluate patching, mitigation, and remediation decision-making scenarios for accuracy and realism.
  • Generate, label, and validate security-reasoning data used to train and benchmark AI systems.
  • Apply your practical judgment on what actually matters in production environments — not just theoretical risk scores.

What You'll Do
  • Analyze vulnerability reports, CVEs, and real-world exposure scenarios across infrastructure and applications
