Digital Platforms in International Wealth and personal banking (IWPB) is responsible for the core Mobile and Browser based platforms for meeting the everyday banking needs of HSBC Wealth & Personal Banking’s (WPB) customer base.
The North Star team is driving HSBC’s bold vision to create the next-generation mobile banking app, delivering deeper customer engagement, standardized global experiences, cutting-edge technology, and personalized insights. We aim to develop the #1 banking app in the key markets where we operate, transforming how millions of customers engage with their finances.
The Value Stream Delivery Lead works with our Digital Platforms team and business stakeholders to shape and evolve Sub‑Value Streams (SVS) for efficient, agile‑aligned delivery, ensuring clear ownership and structured execution. Success in this role will require driving VSIP planning, making prioritisation decisions and managing budgets and funding, which includes forecasting and optimising Value Stream (VS) headcount across geographies and capabilities to match delivery needs and funding. They will partner with Market Implementation Leads or Programme Managers to align scope and resolve delivery blockers and are expected to own risks, issues, and dependency management, escalating through Accountable Executive or Steering forums when required. They will also lead VS governance and reporting, track OKRs, and maintain alignment with HSBC’s Agile Change Framework.
The Value Stream Delivery Lead is a pivotal role responsible for the end‑to‑end successful delivery. They are the catalyst for turning innovative ideas into launched realities. The role acts as the central hub to connect stakeholders’ objectives with the execution teams, ensuring deliverables are achieved on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The Delivery Lead will work closely with the Global Head of Digital Platform Delivery and Operations and North Star Programme Director as well as the Digital Platforms leadership teams. This position is crucial for achieving our digital strategy, driving digital transformation, and shaping delivery for the VS and SVS within Digital Platforms. Success in this role will require the role holder to be an excellent communicator, strong in project management and an exceptional problem solver with a forward‑thinking mindset who is able to work with a complex set of stakeholders.
