VP / Senior Director EMEA Client Development

Alida (formerly Vision Critical) is looking for someone to lead and build our EMEA business. This is your chance to steer the EMEA customer base across our offices in the UK, France, and Germany as well as influence the strategy of the wider business. You'll be instrumental in shaping strategic planning, leading high-performing client-facing teams, driving business development, and forging critical local partner strategies. If you're a seasoned leader passionate about making a significant mark and building on a 25-year legacy of helping the world’s leading brands connect with their customers, this role is for you. This is a 12 month contract role, but we are open to flexible or fractional arrangements.

  • Leadership of Customer Success/Account Management/Partner Management team
    • Directly manage the UK Customer Success (CS) leader and France Country Manager, help inspire their teams across the UK, France and Germany to deliver an exceptional experience for our customers (top tier brands) and partners (world class research agencies)
    • Be an active part in the global Customer Success leadership team, identify trends in the customer base to devise and lead global Customer Experience initiatives and OKR development/execution.
    • Own customer success metrics for the region and guide the team to deliver a strong retention and expansion performance
    • Continuous refinement of the customer engagement models across customer segments, redefining how to help our customers maximise the value of their investment in us as we continuously build out new features and products to expand our reach across their insights ecosystems and organisations
    • Ensure effective account planning and mapping to develop expansion plans and ensure strong net dollar retention
    • Devise and execute local customer engagement strategies with the team, provide thought leadership and solutions for global customer engagement
    • Serve as the senior point of contact and ultimate escalation point for strategic accounts in the EMEA region, ensure high quality commercial narratives and strong executive alignment with our top tier accounts.
  • Market Research and Insights Advocacy & Expertise
    • Utilise market research expertise and industry trend awareness to enhance customer understanding within Alida, impacting deliverables, go-to-market (GTM) strategy, product strategy, external positioning, and customer enablement and sales strategies.
    • Inspire and educate as an internal and external thought leader, advocating for technology within research programs. Develop a strong point of view to share persuasively at events and in content.
    • Contribute to creating a vision for the future of insight communities, considering market research and user experience (UX) personas.
  • Planning and Strategy for the EMEA region
    • Maintain and update the EMEA Go-to-Market (GTM) plan, aligning with evolving global strategy, industry trends and local market needs.
    • Align with other leaders for resource allocation and support.
    • Deliver regular updates to the team and leadership and ensure strong internal understanding buy in for regional needs and strategy
    • Drive thought leadership and understanding of the research space with customers and internally to help bring customer and research understanding to our wider product and GTM strategy
  • Business development and collaboration with global sales teams
    • Identify regional growth opportunities and collaborate with sales leaders and Account Executives in order to grow the region
    • Nurture local advocates and maintain market visibility in EMEA. Help French country manager do the same
    • Help the global Business Development Representative (BDR) team be successful in EMEA with target accounts and messaging
    • Provide local leadership for global expansions and drive global expansion strategy
  • Local partner strategy and execution
    • Maintain senior relationships with existing partners and execute growth strategies.
    • Understand the agency landscape within the UK/English-speaking EMEA region and drive continuous improvements to the partner strategy
    • Create and host introductions to assess partnership opportunities

  • We are ideally looking for someone based in London or the surrounds, but open to elsewhere in the UK
  • This is a 12 month fixed term contract role, but we would also consider a fractional leader
