Job summary

Zapp in London is seeking a hands-on Vice President of Product Engineering to shape the platform and deliver high-impact products. You will own product and technology direction, translate priorities into roadmaps, and lead discovery through to launch while maintaining pragmatic trade-offs.

You will build a high-performing engineering function focused on quality, reliability, velocity, and ownership. You’ll work closely with the Founder and Executive Team and balance customer needs, operations,

Qualifications

• Significant software engineering experience with leadership at VP/Head of Engineering level.
• Proven track record delivering digital products from idea to launch and iteration.
• Deep technical judgement on architecture, reliability, security, and development practices.
• Strong product instincts with ability to understand users and make pragmatic trade-offs.
• Experience building high-performing, multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Define Zapp’s product and technology direction with the Founder and Executive Team.
• Translate priorities and data into a focused product and engineering roadmap.
• Lead teams through discovery, design, development, launch, and iteration.
• Establish a repeatable delivery rhythm with pace and accountability.
• Ensure architectures support near-term delivery and long-term ambitions.
