Job summary

Morgan Stanley invites applications for a Vice President in Finance to lead the global compensation reporting function and drive transformation, automation and AI within the Compensation Controller team. The role reports to senior stakeholders and spans accounting, controllership and reporting across the firm.

The candidate will oversee regulatory and internal reporting, manage a sizeable team, and partner with executives to deliver high‑quality financial disclosures while advancing scalable

Qualifications

• Professional Accountancy Qualification, or equivalent specialization in Finance
• Good Excel skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills; clear, concise delivery
• Experience with establishing and meeting critical deadlines and driving execution
• Risk awareness and guardianship of financial processes
• People management experience and cross‑functional collaboration
• Experience simplifying, standardising and automating complex Finance processes

Responsibilities

• Inputs to critical quarterly and annual regulatory filings and outputs (e.g. 10Q/K, earnings)
• Detailed global monthly compensation and benefits expense reporting and analysis for senior management
• Planning and oversight of global compensation-related statutory disclosures
• Drive transformation across the wider Compensation Controller function, including automation and AI initiatives
• Design and implement output review, control and assurance processes to ensure automation is supplemented by robust reviews
