• PQE of at least 5 years in financial markets/trading law.
• Experience in clearing and futures & options documentation.
• Experience with legal opinions on netting, collateral, CCP.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills; ability to explain complex concepts.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and stakeholder negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Drafting, negotiating and advising on futures, options and derivatives clearing documentation.
• Advising on margin, collateral mechanics and event of default considerations.
• Coordinating internal approvals and risk assessments for deviations from templates.
• Engaging clients and external counsel to defend positions and drive execution.
• Advising on regulatory and structural issues affecting the documentation suite.
• Mentoring junior team members and ensuring consistency with playbook.
• Interpreting legal opinions (netting, collateral, CCP) and mapping conclusions to templates.
• Assessing new clearing models and industry developments affecting documentation.
