Voyago is Hiring a Full Time Afternoon Dispatcher!

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Transit Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating daily transit operations and providing clear, accurate instructions to drivers. This role acts as a key communication link between drivers, customers, and operations staff to ensure efficient service delivery and compliance with company and regulatory standards. Success in this role requires exceptional communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Your role:

  • Communicate with drivers to resolve on-the-road issues
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with LTC dispatchers and internal staff
  • Identify all routes and drivers active on routes are on time to ensure there is no disruption to service
  • Manage and pull a variety of reports as per the Operation Manager’s directive
  • Provide support and direction to drivers throughout their shifts
  • Perform cash counting and reconciliation duties accurately
  • Conduct data entry and maintain up-to-date dispatch and ridership records
  • Handle incoming calls and provide courteous, professional customer service
  • Assist with general office and administrative duties as required

Your Profile:

  • You have dispatch experience within the transportation or service industry or related education
  • You can utilize a radio to listen to, respond to and communicate effectively with all on route drivers
  • You have excellent time and stress management skills
  • You are a multi-tasker who can prioritize several urgent and important tasks
  • You take initiative to solve problems and search out the data needed to do so
  • You can accurately follow all procedures to meet corporate and legal obligations
  • You have strong proven customer service experience
  • You are computer literate and have software experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • You have intermediate to advanced verbal and written language skills (equivalent to B2 to C1 levels)

Work Schedule:

  • This position follows a rotating schedule from 2:00pm to 1:00am. Shifts include weekdays and weekends with rotation

Hourly Rate:

  • The rate for this position is $19.00 per hour with benefits after 3 months

Your Location:

  • This position is located at 573 Admiral Court and is 100% in-office. Remote work is not available
