Job summary

Listers Volvo Leamington Spa is hiring a Vehicle Technician to service, diagnose and repair vehicles at our modern workshop. The role includes electrical and mechanical repairs, with training provided for EV/Hybrid systems and manufacturer equipment. You will contribute to high customer satisfaction and work within a supportive team.

Hours are 8:30am–5:00pm Mon–Fri, plus one in three Saturdays 8:30am–1:00pm, with a total approx. 41.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be working towards NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Electric/Hybrid vehicle knowledge is advantageous but not required as full training will be provided.
• Full UK Driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, repair and diagnostics of vehicles in the workshop to high standards.
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts and A/C servicing.
• Work with EV/Hybrid systems and use electronic diagnostic equipment as needed.
• Fit manufacturer accessories and audio equipment.
• Complete service paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
• Collaborate with workshop team to share knowledge and learn continuously.

Due to continuing growth, we are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join Listers Volvo Leamington Spa.

The hours of work are 8:30am–5:00pm, Monday to Friday, plus one in three Saturdays from 8:30am–1:00pm. (averages out at 41.5 hours per week).

• The basic salaries start from £32,000 up to £40,000
• Bonus / OTE’s range from £38,000 up to £46,000

Role and Responsibilities

• Our technicians are responsible for the servicing, repair and diagnostics of all vehicles in the workshop, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standard first time.
• The main responsibilities would include electrical and mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts and air conditioning servicing.
• Additional responsibilities may include repairs and maintenance on EV and Hybrid vehicles such as the use of electronic diagnostic equipment, focusing on areas such as batteries, drive motor, auxiliary drive pack & control systems.
• You will have the ability to fit manufacturer accessories and audio equipment.
• You will have a full understanding of Customer Satisfaction and its impact on the business.
• You will be trained and able to operate additional systems, such as video reporting i.e CitNOW.
• You also will be able to complete all service paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
• Working closely with other members of the workshop team to constantly learn and share knowledge.

About you

• We consider candidates from all backgrounds who have experience working in the Automotive sector as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, Motor Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, HGV Fitter, Auto Electrician, MOT Tester or Apprentice Vehicle Technician to join Listers.
• Whether you work at an independent garage, fast fit centre, car supermarket or main dealer, we would be interested in talking to you.
• As a minimum you will hold or working towards completion of your NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• An Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualification or certification would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
• MOT License would also be beneficial but not essential.
• Full UK Driving licence.
