Patient Safety Partner VolunteerAre you passionate about ensuring that the patient voice is heard and want to help improve safety for our patients, if so, we would like you to apply to become a Patient Safety Partner with us. We are recruiting for two Patient Safety Partners to work with staff, patients, carers and their families to improve safety throughout our organisation. The role will be remote based with some travelling to sites.Key responsibilitiesAttend and participate in safety meetingsBe the voice of the patient and have the ability to advocate on their behalfHelp us to implement and participate in the new National Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF)Participate out our Primary Care accreditation visitsSupport the safety training of staffHelp develop patient safety information resourcesHelp to develop the Patient Safety Partner roleBe involved in the co-production of innovative services

About youCurrent experience of using Primary Care 24 services as a patient.Confident to share views on behalf of the wider community/groups of patients and provide opinions which may not just be your own.Contribute to discussions in large groups and have the ability to critically challenge our thinking in a constructive positive way.Respect and listen to other points of view and can tackle issues sensitively.Attend meetings at our Wavertree HQ or remotely and can spend time reading any preparation materials when required.Commit to providing time to the Patient Safety Partner role.We will?Provide training to support the Patient Safety Partner role including safeguarding and information governance.Ensure that you have a dedicated contact to support you in the role.As this is a volunteer role any expenses associated to the role are reimbursed (T&Cs apply)
