We are looking for a passionate Gardener Volunteer to join our dedicated Care Home. We believe that the beauty of nature plays a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing of our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Make a Real Difference: Your work will directly improve the quality of life for our residents, giving them a peaceful space to relax, reflect, and enjoy the changing seasons.
  • Nurture Nature: You'll have the chance to watch your hard work bloom, from planting flowers and tending to shrubs, to ensuring that the garden is a welcoming place for all to enjoy.
  • Supportive Team: We believe in a family-oriented atmosphere where everyone is valued. You'll be supported by a team who share your passion for creating a wonderful environment for both residents and staff.
  • Maintain and nurture our beautiful garden.
  • Plant seasonal flowers, trim hedges, and care for our outdoor spaces to ensure they remain safe, welcoming, and beautiful.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the garden areas, ensuring they are tidy and well‑kept.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Person to ensure the garden offers sensory experiences that are both calming and engaging for our residents.
  • Help prepare and maintain garden areas for seasonal changes.

  • A positive, friendly attitude with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • An appreciation for the therapeutic benefits of nature, especially for elderly residents with dementia or nursing care needs.
