Overview

402 (Gravesend) Squadron RAF Air Cadets supports young people aged 12–20 through aviation, leadership, adventure training, community engagement and personal development. We are looking for a Volunteer Fundraising & Development Manager to help us strengthen our long-term sustainability.

Role Summary

The Volunteer Fundraising & Development Manager will identify fundraising opportunities, research grants, develop local partnerships, support sponsorship approaches and help plan practical fundraising activities.

Responsibilities

• Identify fundraising opportunities and potential funding sources.
• Research and apply for grants.
• Develop local partnerships and sponsorship approaches.
• Plan and support practical fundraising activities.
• Collaborate with a small volunteer team.

Qualifications & Skills

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Organised, proactive and reliable.
• Experience in fundraising, grant writing, sponsorship, business development, marketing, events or community engagement is helpful.
• Basic IT skills – internet & email.
• Administration, evaluation & review, teamwork.
