Job summary

Service Care in Norwich is recruiting an experienced Multi-Trade Operative (Voids) to join a social housing maintenance team covering Norwich and surrounding areas. You will carry out general repairs, maintenance and refurbishment within void properties to bring them up to the required lettable standard before new tenants move in.

The role requires a strong multi-trade background and the ability to work independently, completing carpentry, plumbing, plastering and decorating to a high standard

Qualifications

• Experience as a Multi-Trade Operative within domestic void properties.
• Strong practical skills across carpentry, plumbing and decorating.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily workload.
• Experience in social housing maintenance desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general repairs and maintenance within void social housing properties.
• Complete multi-trade works including carpentry, plumbing, plastering, painting and decorating.
• Undertake kitchen and bathroom repairs, including replacing fixtures and fittings.
• Repair damaged walls, ceilings, doors, skirting boards and other internal surfaces.
• Carry out patch plastering, making‑good and general refurbishment works.
• Prepare empty properties to meet the required lettable standards.
• Identify maintenance issues and complete necessary repairs efficiently.
• Work independently to complete assigned jobs within agreed timescales.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
