Overview

I am a 96 year old lady living in the Bonvilston area. I have a diagnoses of Alzheimer’s, I am chair bound and have ceiling hoist for transferring me to bed, commode and chair. I have a good appetite and will need full assistance with eating.

Responsibilities
  • Help with personal care, including bed/chair wash and getting me dressed.
  • Assist me onto and empty my commode after use.
  • Prepare a simple breakfast and assist me in eating it.
  • In the late morning, use the commode a second time and eat a simple heated lunch.
  • Freshen up in chair and wash my hair once a week.
  • Help me get ready to start my day.
Pay and Hours

Rate: £14.20 per hour

Hours: 15 to 18 hours per week. Ideally mornings, 3 per week.

Type of person required
  • Someone who is caring and kind.
  • A person who is willing to shadow my other carers.
  • Someone who can respect privacy in working in someone’s home.
  • A person who is punctual and reliable.
About the job

This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority.

All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins.

Although this is a part-time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number. Employment will commence under an initial trial period.

Wages will be paid on a four-weekly / monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
